Hmmm, 'Tis the season??

Yes and No. It's really soap and It's really neat and It's really captured our soapiest, most bestest, best ever you award as well as everything else from Sweet Soaps.

I first came across Sweet Soaps and the owner Ellen Cagnassola on Twitter @SweetSoaps and have been very proud to see all this company is achieving. Small business gone wild and crazy busy. Awesome.

My next favorite thing other than seeing businesses succeed is boxes on my doorstep with their products to review!!

The box from Sweet Soaps was like a gift from heaven. Let me tell you, this was some box that arrived! It was filled with the most beautiful soaps and one very mysterious candle (pictured to the left.)

Now, I live in a family of 6 boys, so you can imagine their enthusiasm upon first inspection of the box. It was like "oh, neat, soap."

Well that quickly changed when we started buring the candle to pictured to the left. You see this isn't just an ordinary candle..... it is a bacon candle. It crackles and sounds and smells like bacon. The box was suddenly quite popular as was the bacon soap.

So we are issuing the award for the bacon candle and soap, but also to the 5 other soaps that arrived. Basically, it appears to me, that you can't go wrong ordering something from Sweet Soaps or from having a chat with the owner on Twitter. She knows her stuff, I mean soap and bacon. :)

I think this was my next favorite. It really is hard to choose. You can visit their store for more choices and samples.

In 2003 we struck gold or I should say Gold Monogram Soap. Neiman Marcus and Horchow put us in their Holiday Catalog, blowing the lid off of our business. That exposure brought about many changes and a lot of new business.

2005 was full of tragedy and triumph, for the people of New Orleans. I have had a love for the fleur de lis symbol from my years studying Art and Interior Design. After Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, my phone began ringing off the hook for my one fleur de lis soap product. The fleur de lis symbol dates back to the French Empire and has always been a part of the culture of New Orleans. After Katrina it became a symbol of hope, courage, and the rebirth of the city. Over the years we have added many fleur de lis soap products, making it our number one selling product in specialty retail shops. Proudly we also know that Harry Connick Jr. has purchased our products!

Warner Brother's Studios called us in 2006 and asked us to create a logo soap for the show "Two and a Half Men". They were doing a spa theme for their end of the year wrap party. This was a thrill as I am a very big fan of the show and still watch. We also had our fleur de lis soap and matching toilet paper in a skit on the "Ellen Degeneres Show" around this time as well.

Our original website was launched in 1998, so we are updating our look and rebranding SweetSoaps! We are using social media to keep our customers in the know, blogging and using Twitter and Facebook. We are maintaining our wholesale accounts while tapping into custom products in a big way. Our goal is promoting your business and your events.
