Exclusive Interview with Vera Kantor for The Best Ever You Network
Please Tell Us More About Yourself-
I was born and raised in the former Soviet Union, in a small city in Ukraine. I immigrated to the US in the 1970's with my family and began a career as a facialist. I worked at Aida Thibiant Day Spa, which was considered one of the best Spas in Beverly Hills at the time and still is. Little did I know, that 20 years later, I would open my own skin therapy spa just down the street. After 10 great years there, I was recruited by Ole Henriksen to join him in building his skin care spa and helped him develop his all natural skin care line. We worked side-by-side for 12 years.
Over the years, I generated a tremendous following of loyal clientele and friends. And it was they, my clients who inspired me to open my own place. So in 1997, along with my eldest daughter Victoria, we opened the doors of Verabella Skin Therapy Spa in Beverly Hills. A small, but mighty skin therapy spa in the heart of Beverly Hills, where we treat every person with the same care and compassion, as we would treat our most famous celebrity clients. It was sort of a Field of Dreams story, "if you build it they will come," because from the day we opened, I've been booked solid ever since. Thank G-D and knock wood! Within a year of opening, we needed to hire additional staff to keep up with demand.
It was Victoria's goal to be featured in Allure magazine within a year of opening and in February 1998, Verabella was picked by Allure as one of THE BEST FACIALS in the country. Many other editorial accolades followed as well as TV appearances. We have since developed and launched an incredible skin care line, called VERABELLA Beverly Hillsand are happy to say that everyone who tries it loves it! I am truly living my dream! Not bad, for a girl from Soviet Russia?!
