Be a Guardian of Inner Peace

The demands of modern life are never-ending and they pull us in many directions at once. Whole days fly past as we respond to all of the outer calls, but we will, sooner or later, feel depleted if we don’t equally heed the inner call. Waiting quietly behind the external swirl, our souls are longing for our attention.

We sense this soul call when we sense that something is missing, or just feels incomplete. We feel ‘off.’ If we pause long enough to listen, we can discover the purpose for which our souls have incarnated. Getting to know our authentic soul self and the purpose we are meant to express in this life is an important task. It is important for our own happiness and wellbeing, and it is important for the world because we each have inner talents and resources that are meant to serve the greater good.

In order to tune in to our inner guidance system for direction and truth, we must become guardians of inner peace. The soul does not yell. It whispers, and we have to get quiet to hear it.

Begin by noticing when you feel peaceful and when you do not. What sort of environments, people or stimuli contribute to your inner balance and what throws you out of balance?

Become dedicated to the practice of daily attunement to your inner essence. Take time each day in stillness to determine what you need to feel more balanced, more at peace, then make the necessary adjustments. Anything that disrupts your peaceful equilibrium needs to be balanced.

As we establish more harmony within, we also embody greater peace in how we walk in the world, how we treat our families and children, and how we engage our work. In doing so, we honor the authentic expression of our soul. We become clearer vessels for the great Spirit to manifest through us. This is in fact, our greatest gift to the world.

Your greatest purpose is simply to be the best version of yourself each day. Become a guardian of inner peace and this true self will shine through.
