Ditch the Scale.
Seriously. Ditch the scale. Hide the scale. Donate the scale. Whatever you want to do with the scale, except stop weighing yourself.
Try it for a week or two.
If you are a person who is used to weighing themselves each day, this might be a habit to change. I've had entire days that started out peaceful, really changed by a number on the scale in the morning.
You probably know what size clothes you like to buy. I'm my most comfortable self at around a 6-8. So, you know when you aren't at the right weight or things are out of shape, etc..
You know what you are wishing for when you step on the scale.
Now it is time to work for it.
Your resource today is you and your journal.
What is your ideal weight and size?
Where are you right now with your weight and size?
Do not lie to yourself or the paper you are writing on.
Next, crumple up this paper and throw it in the garbage and give yourself some time, space and place to breathe, think and clearing room. Ease up on yourself.
