Known affectionately as the "Chief Cookie Baker," Elizabeth has baked and donated thousands of homemade nut-free chocolate chip cookies to children, families, schools, hospitals, first responders, and communities across the United States. What began as one act of kindness has become a lasting symbol of compassion, belonging, and hope.

Elizabeth also coaches gymnastics at the Maine Academy of Gymnastics, encouraging young athletes to build confidence, courage, resilience, and joyful strength.

Elizabeth and her husband, Peter, have been married for nearly three decades and are the proud parents of four grown sons. They divide their time between Maine and South Carolina and share their home with two beloved dogs and two rescue cats.

At the heart of everything Elizabeth does is one simple belief: we are not entitled to time. Every book she writes, every audience she addresses, every organization she serves, and every act of kindness she shares is guided by a commitment to help people navigate change with courage, cultivate peace every day, and leave the world better than they found it.

When your life touches Elizabeth's, her hope is simple: that both lives are better because of it.
