Christine Belleris is the editorial director at Health Communications, Inc. (HCI), and oversees the process of taking projects from manuscript to bound book. This includes reviewing and selecting proposals under consideration for publishing, working with literary agents, conceptualizing cover design ideas, editing manuscripts for overall structure and content, overseeing editors and proofreaders, writing marketing and cover copy, and performing pre-press proofs. Before starting at HCI, she worked in educational publishing as a researcher and also as a legislative assistant and deputy press secretary for a US Congressman. She is a proud graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder where she received her degree in journalism.
