Presenters:
Christine Belleris
Christine Belleris is the editorial director at Health Communications, Inc. (HCI), and oversees the process of taking projects from manuscript to bound book. This includes reviewing and selecting proposals under consideration for publishing, working with literary agents, conceptualizing cover design ideas, editing manuscripts for overall structure and content, overseeing editors and proofreaders, writing marketing and cover copy, and performing pre-press proofs. Before starting at HCI, she worked in educational publishing as a researcher and also as a legislative assistant and deputy press secretary for a US Congressman. She is a proud graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder where she received her degree in journalism.
Christian Blonshine
Christian Blonshine has been in the publishing industry for over 15 years, having started in subsidiary rights management and working his way up to his current position. As Vice President, he oversees the day to day operations of HCI, including acquisitions, sales and marketing and inventory planning and management. Christian lives in Mt. Pleasant, SC with his wife and three sons.
Lindsey Mach
Lindsey Mach is the public relations and marketing coordinator for Health Communications, Inc. (HCI). In her role, she plans and manages the marketing and publicity campaigns for HCI books. This includes working with authors on social media, media coverage, and author events. Lindsey has over a decade of experience in the publishing industry working in both trade and educational publishing. She has a bachelor's degree in communication studies with a journalism minor and master of arts in teaching degree from Northeastern University.
