Daily Tip

Someone once said to me that eating a donut or muffin for breakfast is like eating cake. They were trying to illustrate their point that it's not that great for you to eat donuts or muffins each morning when you are watching your weight.


So I remember saying something like "Well, I'll just eat it for lunch instead."


Ok, my point, you ready? Yes, they really are basically like eating cake. So when you reach for your coffee or tea this morning thinking you are just having a quick donut or muffin or maybe even that piece of cake (nobody's judging, LOL) just remember.... it is most likely better to have oatmeal or something far less sugary, even if you do wipe away 1/2 of the sprinkles and lick off the powdered frosting before it counts.
