I’m in Heaven this week. Last week, I had the pleasure of interviewing my dear friend, Dr. Susan Sklar, who is a leading anti-aging doctor sharing cutting edge knowledge on Alzheimer and Dementia. In addition, tomorrow, I will be interviewing another dear friend.
I met Pierette Simpson about 25 years ago when she was a French Teacher in a Farmington Hills High School in Michigan. One day, she told her story of being a survivor on the Andria Doria to her students at the school, and she had no idea what this would lead to. She had opened the door to something that would change her life.
She went on to write her book, Alive on the Andria Doria: The Greatest Sea Rescue in History. In the Spring of 2015, I interviewed Pierette on Smart Women Talk Radio where she shared her dream to write a screenplay and produce a film clearing the name and reputation of the captain of the Andria Doria.
Again, she opened the door to another adventure. Today, just a year and a half later, Pierette is debuting her film: Andrea Doria: Are the Passengers Saved? at the Detroit Institute of Arts Film Theater on Thursday, October 6, at 7 pm.
