Judy Tenuta is an internationally beloved comedian, actress and television personality. Her comedy CD, "In Goddess We Trust" was nominated for a Grammy Award. In 1988 she was the first female ever to win the prestigious American Comedy Award.
How did you get to be where you are today?
I got to be where I am today from driving through snow storms in Chicago for 10 years and for not taking "no" for an answer.
Have you ever been fired?
Yes! I got fired from a temp job before I became a successful comedian. I was 19 or 20 and I had to give truck drivers their routes and I kept goofing it up. It was a mess. Another time I was a meat rapper for Kroger Grocery Stores. I wouldn't let the head meat rapper flirt with me so he let me go.
What are your real passions?
My real passions are of course comedy and making people laugh. You know...working on women's and children's charities and others in need. I love music! I also love great relationships with friends.
If you won the lotto what would you do?
First I would give some money to my family for whatever they need. For sure my mom and brothers and sister. I would also contribute to the gay community because they have always supported me and my career. I would also give to the City of Hope. Then the next thing I would do is start a production company to do my own TV, film and stage projects. And of course I would want a personal chauffeur.
What do you hope to accomplish in the future?
I really want to continue to make people laugh and to help people who are less fortunate. And of course I would love to find a rich worshipful stud puppet.
What do you like to do in your personal life?
I would like to find more real friends in Los Angeles and not just fantasy friends on Facebook.
