Life With the Zoom Lens On - Let's Focus on How We Make Adjustments

Welcome to my new blog, Life with the Zoom Lens On. Thank you for being here with me. We're still percolating and letting our best self filter through and being our best ever you, of course, but let's take it another step. My goal with this new blog is to help us make one thing, thought, idea, value, belief, etc…. the focus point.

What's your focus for today?

Let's focus on how we make adjustments.

We're in a major period of massive adjusting. We're all shifting and maneuvering around multiple circumstances. Things seem fine for a moment and then something happens or something else happens. There can be layers upon layers of adjustments and responses needed, which can be overwhelming.

In every moment, no matter what is happening, we have a choice. A choice to place our energy high or place or energy low.

It's also a reminder to stop hating yourself and start loving yourself. Sometimes our reactions and responses are coming from the wrong place.

Like the tulips pictured above. We're all basically the same, yet extraordinary and unique.

However, it is your frame of reference and could also be what is being shown to you this way or that way that you react and respond.

For example, these tulips are right by a very busy road.

I can change the reference point.

I can change the focus, the angle, the frame, the color, the mood, and change the way we all see it. They are the same tulips. I didn't change my position. I changed the way I looked at them and I changed the way you may see it.

I can filter them.

It can be very important to understand to change your point of reference. It may not change your view, but at least you're looking at it from a different angle.

This is the key to making adjustments. You. Your response, your view, your angle, but most importantly your reaction, response and actions. We all experience and trade off personal and collective highs and lows. Let your best self filter through.

JOURNAL EXERCISE

Again, today we ask: How are you? Are you pushing through? Are you living in fear or anxiety? Are you stressed? Are you happy? Sad? How are you?

In your journal, here are some concepts to write about or spark a conversation with another person.

Are you patience in your response with others and situations?

Are you adjusting? In what ways are your adjusting?

Are you ahead of the reaction/responses and anticipating changes needed?

Do you let your best self filter through?
