I stepped outside my comfort zone, met Joel Comm and here's what's happened so far...
One day, not so very long ago, I decided to shoosh my real-life, actually pretty shy personality and venture to an event. I do this every so often, but wasn't going to go without my neighbor Romy Weiss. We made a day of it. I was on a mission to meet Joel Comm. I don't know why and I didn't know him before, but on the event description, he sounded like he knew a lot about stuff I needed to know to continue to grow as a person and to help my company along on the internet and so forth. Besides all that, anyone who invented the iFart app is a human being I'm on a quest to encounter. I mean really.... with my sick sense of humor, I wish I would have been consulted and been in on the invention. hilarious.
ok .... so moving on....bath bubbles aside... (yep, still funny to me...)
ok really moving on...
Well guess, what...? I got to meet Joel Comm. Turns out he's even cooler than I had hoped and this is another one of those lessons to listen to your gut, ignore all the fear and parking hassles, and see what direction life goes in when you show up.
It also turns out he has some amazing books. He has a knack for speaking. But I think mostly, he has a knack for actually just flat out helping people he encounters be their very best.
I don't take a lot of selfies. But here are a few. I learned in this moment that if we held the phone up, one of us might look 20 pounds thinner. (He won that moment, LOL :) I still need to hit the gym.) But boy from that moment on, if I do need a selfie, that camera is as high as my T-Rex like arms will reach!!
So it's stuff like that, that he does, that give you the slightest hint even of actual real life help. He's Joel Comm. He doesn't have to even take the picture, let alone help it be it's best...
Moved by his kindness and remarkable genuine nature, I had another moment, where I dared email him, to ask him to be on my radio show. He said yes. I've had to reschedule him several times due to my dads illness and passing and all the while, he remained patient and kind.
So on March 26, when he spent over 40 minutes on the show, my world changed. For some reason, as the founder of The Best Ever You Network, LOL, his words, "Just Be You" echoed. (The words Just Be You played over and over and over again in my head all day yesterday.)
I'd encourage you to pick up a copy of Joel's book - The Fun Formula. It's a reminder to Just Be You and Joel shows us how to reach a place and understanding of what really matters.
So, Joel, It was an honor and blessing to have you join me on The Best Ever You Show! Thank you!

From learning about what Joel was like as a kid to now finding a few gray hairs here and there, we had a lot of fun! Fun is just a fun word and while Joel is actually seriously smart and not all fun and games, his perspective on life is clear - He's got a Fun Formula and he wants us all to know about it. Yes, he had a lot of fun inventing Yahoo Games and the iFart app. Yes, he has a The Bad Crypto Podcast he wants you to learn about, as he cautions us all that technology is going to sneak up on us if we aren't prepared. His website does an outstanding job of us being not only able to reach Joel, but also choose which area of his life we need him to talk about, if not all of them!!
I encourage you to find Joel, follow him and learn from him. In the spirit of "You can't get your moments back..." - these are moments you will treasure.
Love,
Elizabeth
