What are you doing about SELF-CARE?

Last week, a friend called me saying, “I’m done!”

I asked her what she meant, and she said, “I have to get out of this rat race. I just left the doctor, and he said I’ve been operating on adrenaline and cortisol for years, and it’s taken a toll on my body and now I need surgery and six months of rehab!”

Women today are under so much pressure and are so busy caring for everyone around them that they end up not making time for themselves. As a result, they get burned-out, stressed-out, and often find themselves with a health crisis.

Take a moment to look at your life.

Are you burning the candle at both ends like so many women today?

What are you doing about SELF-CARE?

Self-care is so much more than simply taking a break. Self-care also includes diet, exercise, relaxation techniques, and rediscovering what makes you happy. When I think of self-care, I think of the safety speech the flight attendant gives prior to take-off. The attendant tells you that in case of an emergency, put your oxygen mask on first before helping others. THAT is self-care. You can’t be expected to care for others until you are healthy.

One of the first steps to self-care is eating well. Food is what fuels us, so it is very important to put healthy fuel in our bodies.

Many of our foods today are literally poisoning us, and as a result, more and more people are being diagnosed with auto-immune diseases like Hashimoto’s disease, arthritis, Chron’s disease, leaking gut, and more.

I interviewed Smart Women’s Contributing Expert, Dr. Keesha Ewers earlier this year. Dr. Keesha discussed her book, Solving the Autoimmune Puzzle. In addition to this enlightening interview, Dr. Keesha provided listeners her ebook, From Fatigued to Fabulous. Both of these excellent resources are available for free in the Smart Women’s Academy. Simply register for my free online course, Unlock Your Financial Power, where you can access these outstanding tools in the Resource Library under Mind, Body, and Spirit – Bonus Gifts.

We will also be adding a new guided meditation series from Contributing Expert, Julia Griffin, to the Resource Library in the course, so be sure to register!

“Remember, an empty lantern provides no light.

Self-care is the fuel that allows your light to shine brightly.”

Finally, I am considering offering a free monthly coaching call for the Smart Women’s Academy so you can submit questions and get on-the-spot FREE coaching. To make this happen along with our two new courses on Caregiving and Personal Finance, we need to hit our fundraising goal of $20,000 before the end of October.

We need your help!

Please pick a level below that works for you and make a tax-deductible donation TODAY and your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Seed Foundation!

This is all it will take to reach our goal:

  • 1000 women giving $20

  • 400 women giving $50

  • or 200 women giving $100

Please pay it forward by giving $20, $50 or $100 today.

Thank you so much!
