The Beautiful No - Best Ever You Awards - Winner - Best Books

Updated: 22 hours ago

We are proud to issue our Gold Seal of Excellence in Books to The Beautiful No by author Sheri Salata.

I met my fellow Hawkeye Fan on Twitter and find her to also have award-winning hair.

So, of course, in telling her that I am from Iowa and love her hair, I had zero clue, I was chatting with the former executive producer for Oprah. This leads me to my absolute favorite thing about Sheri Salata and her book, The Beautiful No - she is real.

You will love this book from start to finish. It's honest, raw and relatable. Sheri's book The Beautiful No And Other Tales of Trial, Transcendence, and Transformation is a woman's roadmap to midlife reinvention, inspired by Salata's own journey of radical self-care and transformation after decades of single minded devotion to work over life.

More about Sheri Salata:

What happens when you realize you’ve had the career of your dreams, but you don’t have the life of your dreams? This was the stark reality facing Sheri Salata when she left her twenty-year stint at The Oprah Winfrey Show, Harpo Studios and the OWN network. She had dedicated decades to her dream job, and loved (almost) every minute of it, but had left the rest of her life gathering dust on the shelf.

SHERI SALATA is a writer/producer, cofounder of The Pillar Life and cohost of the podcast The Sheri + Nancy Show.  Sheri is a Thought Leader on The Best Ever You Network. Her current ventures are the evolution of her 20-year career with Oprah Winfrey. Her action-packed days as Executive Producer on The Oprah Winfrey Show were chronicled in the acclaimed docuseries Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes. Sheri also served as Co-President of Harpo Studios and OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network. Sheri has been named one of Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business, The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Power 100 and the 2017 Feminist Press Power Award winners.
