What It Really Takes to Be a Success

Success isn’t a title. It’s not a magazine cover, a social media following, or a dollar amount.
Real success lives in how you treat people when no one’s watching. It’s in the work you do when the applause has faded. It’s in the quiet moments when you choose integrity over ego.
And if I’ve learned anything through decades of coaching, parenting, writing, and building a global platform, it’s this:
Success is not what the world hands you. It’s what you build from the inside out.
Behind the Scenes of “Success”
People often assume success is glossy. Easy. Linear. They don’t always see the years of trial and error, the early mornings, the late nights, the setbacks, the pivots, and the faith it takes to keep going.
I’ve sent emails that never got replies. I ’ve submitted for features, waited with hope, and felt overlooked. I’ve coached clients while silently working through my own heartbreak.
And still—here I am. Because success is showing up anyway. It’s living your values, even when you think no one is noticing.
And guess what?
People notice. More importantly, you notice.
Success isn’t just about your career. It’s not limited to titles, promotions, or public recognition. Success shows up in how you care for your health, how you nurture your relationships, how you manage your time, and how you stay true to your values in every corner of your life.
That’s why I teach comprehensive success—because being “successful” in one area while struggling silently in others isn’t true success at all.
My mission is to help people create alignment across all areas of life—mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, and relational—so that success becomes something you live, not something you chase.
📘 Redefining Success: The 10 Factors
In The Success Guidebook, I share the 10 Factors of Success that I believe truly define a meaningful life and legacy:
Imagine – Give yourself permission to dream.
Believe – Know you are worthy of the dream.
Focus – Eliminate the noise and distractions.
Plan – Make success intentional, not accidental.
Ask – Don’t be afraid to raise your hand or your voice.
Network – Build authentic, aligned connections.
Collaborate – Don’t do it all alone.
Sustain – Show up with consistency and care.
Adjust – Be flexible, not fragile.
Celebrate – Pause to honor your progress.
These aren’t just concepts. They’re lived, practiced, and refined every single day.
And they’re not reserved for the “lucky few. ”They’re accessible to anyone willing to live intentionally and lead from the heart.
The Truth About Being Overlooked
Let’s be honest—sometimes you will be overlooked. You’ll pour your soul into something and wonder if it even mattered.
But let me remind you:
Your peace is louder than the noise.
Your impact is not defined by who sees it—it’s defined by who is changed by it.
And your success is not waiting for permission from a magazine, platform, or institution. It’s already in motion.
You don’t need to be invited to the table. You can build your own. And when you do—bring chairs.
What It Really Takes
It takes courage. It takes vision. It takes compassion. It takes alignment. It takes tenacity. It takes action and most of all - It takes you.
Success is not something you chase. It’s something you live. It’s who you are when you’re fully aligned with your purpose and brave enough to walk it out.
Let’s Redefine It Together
If you’ve ever felt like success skipped over you… I want you to know: You’re not behind. You’re not broken. You’re building something that lasts.
And you are welcome here.
